Interview with the wonderful mind of Grim Bros.

I have known Cutea for awhile now but never really have had a chance to nail her to floor and talk to her. I was finally able to catch her and pass her some questions. She was happy to get them out to me. I hope you all enjoy.  So now on to the questions.

What was your inspiration for the name of your store?

Well, I'm German and i grew up with the fairytales of the Brothers Grimm. Plus i figured that some of the things i was planning to make (bone dresses etc.) were sort of grim. Last but not least i thought it was rather silly to refer to myself as Brothers (being one girl and all that)

Where do you get your inspiration for the things you build. You have a very unique eye and I am sure people would love to know.

That is one question that really bothers me - mainly because i cannot come up with a good or funny answer. My mother used to tell me how i was one of those children with an "overly vivid imagination".

Why did you start building?

i believe curiosity is a talent . i like to try stuff.

How long does it usually take for you to build your items?

between 5 minutes and several months, depending on the complexity. often i am starting a project in order to learn a new technique so that slows me down. like, making clothes was my way of trying to master graphics software "by doing".

Your creativity seems to know no bounds. what has been your favorite build or most hated build as of late?

thank you, that is very kind of you to say!
most hated was a mesh project i messed up very very very badly. oh god. it was bad. i mean, really really really terrible. i'm still hurting. that's how bad it was.
one of my favourites still, although not really new, is the petrovsky flux, a project i created with the mad genius blotto Epsilon. It was a very personal project as i was in a process of mourning while we were creating it, and i am happy it is still around. http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Spencer%20Art%20Museum/180/142/38

You have a wide variety of products that are very diverse in nature. do you feel that you are able to express yourself well with the resouces available to you in sl?

well, thank god i can express myself outside of second life as well, but i do enjoy that i can let my most playful side run wild in SL.

Do you have any hunts or special sales coming up soon that you would like to mention.

right now we have a carnival-related hunt going on. pop by to get a wicked hat!:)

Thank you for taking the time to do the interview with me Cutea.   It is always a pleasure visiting your store and seeing all your great designs.

Have a great day.
